Denmark upset the odds to win the European Championships in 1992 and they were hoping to do likewise at win Euro 2012. They were huge outsiders in the betting to win the tournament, despite winning Group H during their qualifying campaign. Coach Morten Olsen has built a solid rather than spectacular unit and don't expect his side to play teams off the park, but players like Daniel Agger and Thomas Sorenson should ensure they are tight at the back.
The Danes got off to a fantastic start by beating the Netherlands in their first Group B match winning 1-0. They however lost out 3-2 to Portugal in their second match and they were knocked out when losing their final group match 2-1 to Germany.

It is perhaps a surprise that Denmark are such long odds shots to win Euro 2012 after their impressive qualifying campaign. Morten Olsen's men beat Portugal to top spot in Group H and also held off the challenge of their improving Scandinavian rivals Norway.
Nicklas Bendtner has much to prove at Euro 2012 and Denmark will look to him to provide goals despite the fact he has failed to live up to expectations during his time in the Premier League. Denmark have several other Premier League players amongst their ranks, including Thomas Sorenson and Anders Lindegaard, who will battle it out for the goalkeeper's jersey, as well as Liverpool's Daniel Agger and Dennis Rommedahl.
