Euro 2012 - Group C
Thursday June 14th - 5.00pm BST - BBC1
Municipal Stadium, Poznan POL
Italy take on Croatia in their second match of Euro2012 and both will be keen to take three points at the Municipal Stadium in Poznan on Thursday June 14th. Italy are well fancied in the betting to qualify from Group C, but they face a tough task in their opening match against Spain and three points against Croatia will be crucial.
Italy went unbeaten in qualifying for Euro 2012 and they often produce their best at major tournaments, with bookmakers pricing them up as one of the leading contenders. They are short priced to qualify from Group C this summer, although Croatia will be looking to take advantage of any slip ups from the Italians, with Spain odds on to top the group.

It is perhaps something of a surprise that Croatia have had the better of meetings with Italy over the years, winning three of six matches. They haven't lost to the Italians since 1942, going unbeaten in five matches since, and they won the last meeting 2-0 when they played one another in 2007.
