The Metalist Stadium in Kharkiv, Ukraine, will host three Group B matches during Euro 2012. The 38,863-seater stadium is one of the smaller venues at the tournament but the recent redevelopment work ahead of the European Championships will make it one of the more popular grounds during the tournament.
It is the home of Ukrainian club side FC Metalist Kharkiv and is one of the oldest venues at this year's tournament. It was first built in 1925 and has undergone reconstruction four times since, with the latest work carried out in preparation for 2012. The South stand has been re-built and a completely new East stand was built, with several other modernisations also carried out.
Kharkiv is the second largest city in Ukraine, behind Kiev. It is located in the north east of the country and is one of the more industrialised cities, with impressive transport links that include a rapid-transit metro system. It isn't just the football that is likely to prove popular during Euro 2012 and those looking for places to visit will no doubt be drawn to Freedom Square - the sixth largest square in Europe and the twelfth largest in the world.
But for those who are there just for the European championships, there are three group stage matches to be watched during the summer of 2012.
